Monroe County Detention Facility
The Detention facility is a new 41,200 sf facility that houses 175 inmates including a small 72-hours Juvenile Housing Area separate from the adult housing area of the jail. The facility includes:

• booking and intake areas with separate male and female holding areas 
• enclosed and secure sallyport 
• inmate records 
• property storage areas
• kitchen and laundry facilities

This facility has four separate holding cells with direct observation from the jail’s central control for disciplinary, medical and suicide observation.

This facility was design for future expansion to include two additional housing pods on the current site. The kitchen and other support areas (booking, kitchen, etc.) were sized to accommodate these future additions.
