Chambers County Jail - Addition

Phase I of III was a 120-bed medium security housing addition consisting of three (3) dormitories with 40 beds each. 

In addition, this new building contains:

• separate laundry and medical facilities
• work-release component
• centrally located housing control station control and supervision over all three (3) medium security dormitories
• new secure jail security controls computer room and server storage areas, known as an MDF Room, which is sized for the addition, the existing jail, and future addition programmed in the Jail’s master plan. 

Furthermore, the jail security control and surveillance camera system have been upgraded as part of this project, so it can be expanded to the existing housing building and additions in future phases of work.
